Make Believe . Blog Carousel . Chattanooga Atlanta Destination Photographer

I invite you to view our blog carousel. It is an network of blogs belonging to some truly incredible photographers where we choose a monthly theme and all post based on that theme, it’s fantastic to see other amazing photographers interpretations. This month’s theme is “Make Believe”. Once you’ve read my blog post be sure to click on the photographer’s link I’ve posted to read theirs, you’ll be able to do the same on her blog and can keep going until you’ve come full circle.

The topic, “Make Believe” is something that, in my mind, instantly conjures up thoughts of childhood tea parties, playing dress up, imaginary friends, fairies, monsters under the bed… I think too many people grow out of “Make-Believing” and that it doesn’t have to be limited to childhood dreams. Artists still create things, worlds, paintings, stories, novels… everybody should. It can’t hurt to imagine and dream and push the limits of reality.  Think of how many incredible things would never have happened, been invented, been created if people just stopped make-believing as adults.

The images I am sharing are that of a small child in a make believe world, my own teenage daughter in a world I created, a fairytale family, and an incredible bride, who is also an incredible artist, a dreamer, a make-believer, who created a unicorn for her wedding.

Don’t grow out of make-believing – if you have – it’s not too late to go back and re-learn how to create something magical. I hope I never stop make-believing.

    Just simply beautiful!!
Love all your images showcasing this months theme. I can only imagine how fun it must have been to photograph that wedding with so much thought and dreams put into it. So fun to see that not all weddings are stereotypical and that some still dream and like to play make believe!

Wow – beautiful work! Ditto Anna-Karin about the wedding image. What a dream that must have been to shoot and create!

These photographs are so incredibly beautiful Melody. I think one of my favorite things about being an artist is having the license to make-believe whenever I want to, even as an adult 🙂
