Our fall mini sessions are an excellent way to get updated family photos, headshots, some quick milestone portraits, an updated couple photo, an extended family photo, photos with your pets or of your pets, a few high school senior photos, or any combination you can think of.
Choosing a location - they're all beautiful, have good parking options, and have a variety of background options. South Chickamauga creek is not the best spot for anyone with mobility issues. All locations are pet friendly. There is more detailed information below.
October 15 - The Overlook - this location is about an hour outside of Chattanooga near Benton, TN. It is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It's a new addition this year, we've never offered mini sessions there before. I am truly excited about it an hope people are willing to drive a bit to for these! I would not recommend the overlook for toddlers or more rambunctious children as it is literally on the side of a cliff and family photos typically go best when no one is worrying about someone running off the side of a mountain ;) It is easily accessible, just feet from a parking area.
October 17 - South Chickamauga Creek is one of the largest and most beautiful creeks in the area. There are several points of access to this creek but most do require good mobility to access them. It is a short walk from parking areas.
October 20 - Lookout Mountain - this is a national park area located about halfway up the Tennessee side of Lookout Mountain. There's a beautiful stone wall, gorgeous pathways, huge rock formations, and some other interesting elements. Parking is easy and generally plentiful. There's some minimal walking involved.
October 26 - Red Clay State Park is a beautiful, beautiful space. There are old cabins, fields, wooded pathways, and it's all easily accessed from a parking area. There is some walking involved but it is level ground.
October 27 - Chickamauga - About 20 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga, this is an enormous area with woods, creeks, pathways, and fields all in one easily accessible area. Note that there is a bit of walking involved, but it's mostly level ground.
Choosing a Session Type - We have several options to choose from that all revolve around how much time you want to book.
If you're unsure which option to choose, there are some examples below - or you can contact us and we're happy to help you determine that.
Itty Bitty - limited on the number of poses, great if you need a couple of headshots or a very quick photo. This is not a good amount of time if there are multiple people, young children, or infants and/or toddlers being photographed.
Mini - perfect for a family of 5 or less to get a few family poses with an individual of each child, a good variety of couple photos, a good selection of headshots, and some fun interactive poses. It's a good amount of time for a maternity session that includes one sibling. This option will work for the majority of families and is the length of our standard mini sessions.
Mini Plus - sometimes we need more time - this is perfect for larger families or families with smaller children to give them a bit more time to warm up and to get a bigger variety of poses and family combinations, it's great if you want to incorporate grandparents or pets, a multigenerational photo, it's wonderful for getting a variety of combinations of people together and separately. For couples, it's a really good amount of time for a mini-engagement or anniversary session. It's a good amount of time for a maternity session with family photos.
Full session - we can fit lots of things in to an hour long session. It is a single location, but there's plenty of time for multiple combinations or even a quick clothing change. You can use this for an extended family session, a senior session, or many other combinations of things.
