Chattanooga Photographer Engagement Session After Session
Chris and Audrey are one of my favorite couples ever. I photographed their engagement session in 2008, their wedding in 2009, and just photographed their first anniversary session. Hopefully I’ll see them again next year - it’s amazing to spend time with them and to watch them so in love together.

I just realized that I never blogged their wedding (I have a ton of weddings I haven’t blogged from last year) so I’m going to try to blog it soon!

Audrey is an absolute sweetheart and a fantastic stylist at Studio 59. Chris is just a rockstar. They had a beautiful wedding at Audrey’s parents gorgeous house in North Georgia.

You’ll love them - you won’t be able to help loving them…

Engagement Session Old Woolen Mill Cleveland TN

Last year one of my most favorite wedding coordinators in the world, Cheryl Hyland of Blissful Moments, called me in to meet with Buffy and Tom about photographing their wedding. I instantly adored them. After talking to them for about an hour we realized that Buffy was actually one of my little sisters best friends in elementary school. I can remember her being just a scrawny little thing who, along with my sister, set out to terrorize me during their weekend slumber parties. She’s definitely grown up and, while she’s definitely still tiny (can we please bottle her metabolism?) she’s no longer that scrawny little kid and, hopefully, won’t try to terrorize me anymore ;)

I very much enjoyed getting to know Tom and getting to know the grown-up Buffy while photographing their engagement session at the Old Woolen Mill in Cleveland, TN last fall (yes, I really am *that* behind on blogging). Here are some photos from their engagement session and a few from their wedding this past Saturday at The Grandview on Lookout Mountain and Stone Fort Inn in downtown Chattanooga. Check out the amazing 1955 Chevy Bel Air rented from Brandon Burns - it’s an absolutely amazing car.

Anna & Michael’s Wedding ~ The Fairyland Club ~ Lookout Mountain ~ First Presbyterian Church ~ Chattanooga, TN ~ Wedding Photographer

Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club Wedding Exit Wedding Photographer Chattanooga Georgia Lookout Mountain First Presbyterian Church

Anna and Michael had a beautiful wedding at First Presbyterian Church in Downtown, Chattanooga followed by a gorgeous reception at one of my favorite venues, the Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club. The ceremony was sweet, loving, and special. Ben Hayden performed part of the ceremony. It may seem silly but I was actually a little bit starstruck since I grew up watching him on television every weekend with my grandparents.

Anna and Michael have beautiful, wonderful families and I felt truly blessed to be able to share such a special day with them. It’s always wonderful to be around people who are truly happy and truly excited about such an amazing occasion.

Anna began her day with fabulous hair and makeup at Hair a Go Go in North Chattanooga. Laura’s Garden provided the beautiful floral arrangements on the tables, the cake and the bouquets. Tammy at the Fairyland Club did an outstanding job as always. The band rocked the night away - it was an amazing day.

Much love to you both, Anna and Michael!

Anna’s Bridal Session ~ Lookout Mountain ~ Fairyland Club ~ Chattanooga Photographer

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Anna is a beautiful person. Anna’s a special person. I can’t begin to tell you how many life lessons I learned from the time I spent with Anna. In many ways we’re a lot alike, both artists, both indecisive, both passionate about life and love… but there’s something about Anna that I wish I could bottle up and use for myself sometimes - her strength, her will, her incredibly optimistic outlook on life. When Anna first contacted me about photographing her wedding she couldn’t meet with me right away because she’d just had a bone marrow transplant. Her second or third bone marrow transplant if I remember correctly. So Anna booked me online and we met later. When I met Anna and Michael I adored them, I remembered her mentioning the transplant but meeting Anna, looking at Anna, talking to Anna, you’d never guess she’d ever been sick a day in her life. Anna doesn’t know it but she taught me more than I ever could have given her in return, she taught me that life goes on - no matter what’s happened in the past you just take each day at a time, take each day and love it, cherish it, make the very best of it, and don’t worry so much about tomorrow. I tend to be a worrier - an extreme worrier - so I don’t always remember that lesson - but every time I see a photo of Anna I see strength, I see joy, I see life being lived to its fullest. And I smile. And I remember to not worry so much. (And, yes, I know you’re not supposed to start a sentence with the word “And” but it’s my blog and I like it.)

Anna - thank you for being beautiful, wonderful, and for sharing so much with me. Thank you for giving me hope, sharing your story, giving me an amazing glimpse at your life and the love you share with Michael and with your family. You’re all beautiful and amazing people who I’ll never forget.

Here are a few images from Anna’s bridal session at the Fairyland Club.

The C Family ~ Lifestyle Session ~ Chattanooga Family Portrait Photographer

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

The C Family was incredibly fun to photograph! Their home was lovely and filled with warm family touches and sweet sentiments. I love the story of how this wonderful couple met - in Kindergarten, and the photos they have framed in their bedroom of the two of them when they were that age. Their daughter is beautiful with her chubby cheeks and almond eyes. I had a fabulous time getting to know them and capturing their family.

Baby H was an absolute pleasure to photograph. I enjoyed every minute I spent with her & her wonderful, wonderful parents. She’s also one of the most beautiful babies I’ve ever laid eyes on in my entire life… I just love her! I also loved the amazing outdoor area (with the beautiful, beautiful light) that I had to work with in their back yard! Such a wonderful, beautiful family!
