What an amazing love story…

Tom is one of those incredible compounding Pharmacists who actually create drugs, mixing the components himself. As owner of Solutions Pharmacy he hired this really lovely woman to work for him a few years ago - her name is Bethany. Bethany is gorgeous, kind, loving, nurturing, sweet, genuine, witty, sarcastic, and she’s one of those people who can light up your day with one sentence. How could Tom not just fall head over heels in love with her? And how could she not be drawn to his kind, gentle, and brilliant personality? They’re perfectly matched.

After a year or more of planning their beautiful, intimate ceremony at The Grandview on Lookout Mountain their perfect wedding almost didn’t happen. Tom and his groomsmen went to Amsterdam for Toms bachelor party and were unable to leave because of airline closings due to the volcanic ash from Iceland. Incredibly they were able to get a flight and make it home just in time. The outdoor ceremony and reception were nearly moved indoors because of the 80% chance of thunderstorms (and the staff of Blissful Moments and Grandview did a phenomenal job planning and setting up just in case). It rained once, all day, for about 30 seconds. A vase of flowers stood in the place of Tom’s father, his best man, who sadly passed away before the wedding. We decided that the 30 second burst of rain, right as we were posing the family formals - was his way of letting us know he was there.

Thankfully, the wedding did happen and it happened perfectly. Few weddings go quite so well. All the guests and family were wonderful and had an amazing evening celebrating the marriage of Bethany and Tom. We ended the evening at Stone Fort Inn where the couple stayed the night before heading off to spend their two week honeymoon on a private island in Fiji.

A mix of photojournalism and Fine Art images is what you’ll see here… the real moments and the art that tells their love story. One of my favorite images was captured by Cristie - where Bethany is loving watching as Tom dances with his mother -gorgeous! Definitely more Fine Art images than we normally show - but they suit the day, the couple, and the moments.

Jane & Cy’s beautiful Winter Wedding ~ Primrose Cottage ~ Roswell, GA ~ Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Jane Cy Wedding Primrose Cottage Atlanta Georgia GA Roswell Historic Plantation

Primrose Cottage is a beautiful historic landmark in the downtown area of Roswell, GA not far from where I lived when my daughter, Isabelle, was born. I used to drive through their historic downtown on a pretty regular basis because I loved the old houses, the big old plantations, The Roswell Mill… The entire area, even though it’s smack dab in Metro Atlanta, has such a warm, inviting small town feel. It hasn’t changed since I left there 9 years ago.

For their January 2nd wedding the “cottage” (which may look small, but, in fact is 3 stories including a beautiful new ballroom and a gorgeous outdoor patio/terrace area) was still beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Jane and Cy’s wedding was quite a whirlwind with a ton of family and friends in attendance and a gorgeous, fun, wonderful wedding party. Jane has some of the most beautiful friends! Jane made for a stunning bride. I also love that they mixed in many of the Vietnamese traditions that Jane’s family holds dear. There were lots of sentimental touches, emotional speeches, and heartfelt moments.

Thanks to Primrose Cottage for being wonderful, helpful, and accommodating and to Tessa Rice for being a fantastic assistant and capturing some wonderful photos with me.

Most of all, congrats to Jane & Cy… I know it took a lot of hard work, planning, and determination to pull of your wedding. It certainly showed. Congratulations to you both and I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
