Casey & Sam ~ Beautiful Wedding at The Grandview ~ Chattanooga Wedding Photographer

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Casey’s a very special person. She’s one of those people who make you feel like you’re the most amazing person alive just by spending 5 minutes on the phone with her. She’s one of those people who puts other peoples needs before hers. She’s one of those people you want to be friends with for the rest of your life. She’s a survivor, she’s a fighter, she’s an incredibly strong and amazing woman. From what I can tell about Sam - he compliments her perfectly. He’s sweet, thoughtful, loving, and the way he looks at Casey is so filled with love. You can see the happiness on their faces in their photos - you can feel it. They fit together like they were made to go together. I’m thrilled that they found each other and I’m thrilled that I was able to photograph their wedding day. I also really enjoyed taking photos at the Doubletree in downtown Chattanooga after the wedding. We had so much fun!

Congrats, and so much love, to you both, I wish you a lifetime of health and happiness together!

Charleston, SC Wedding Photos

I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t have favorite weddings. I definitely have favorites. This was one of my most very favorites if not my very favorite, ever. I love Michelle & Nic. The first time Michelle and I spoke on the phone we just talked - forever, like old friends. When I finally met Michelle and Nic in person for their engagement session in Charleston - I felt like I was photographing my best friends. It was so comfortable and wonderful that we ended up having dinner and hanging out until late in the evening.

It’s taken me so very long to blog this wedding because every time I sat down to do it I would say “No, not now, not until I have enough time to write about it like it deserves.” But I’ve realized I may never have that much time to spend on a blog post, so I’m going to do the best I can now.

Beautiful doesn’t begin to describe Michelle and Nic. Nic and Michelle met in College at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC. When I met them Michelle was completing her residency as an OB and, to be honest, I couldn’t imagine this beautiful young girl giving people c-sections and delivering babies. I couldn’t fathom it - until she began to stalk about how passionate she is about her career. She’s amazing - intelligent, hard working, beautiful, incredibly fun to be around, just an incredibly special person. Then you have Nic. Nic was just out of dental school and practicing as a dentist with his father. Nic is kind, handsome, compassionate, loving, and just so amazing to Michelle. When I met them they were living a few hundred miles apart just waiting for the moment they could get married and live in the same city again. Such a sweet love story - and such a determined couple…

Kim & David’s Wedding ~ Second Presbyterian Church ~ St. John’s ~ Chattanooga Wedding

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Kim paid me the most amazing compliment a client could ever give - when she changed her wedding date to a date that I wasn’t booked already so that I could be her photographer. I’m so very glad that she did.

Kim and David are an amazing couple. Their wedding was filled with class, charm, gorgeous details, amazing people, and beauty. Kim is stunningly beautiful and David is quite handsome himself. They had the perfect sized wedding - small enough to be intimate but large enough to be interesting. The ceremony at Second Presbyterian Church was gorgeous as all ceremonies there are but still different thanks to their special touches. The reception at St. John’s Restaurant was incredible with a menu created just for them. There were soooo many choices and dinner was so incredible. Dessert was even better! The reception continued in to a room that I didn’t even know existed before that evening - it was the darkest room I’ve ever seen in my life! Thankfully I packed my strobes just in case and this was definitely a situation where they were needed! The room was decked out with infinity mirrors, amazing art on the walls, awesome light fixtures and a killer band playing.

Beautiful flowers are by Gil & Curt!
