Sunday, October 11 - Greenway Farms in Hixson, TN
These sessions will be nature-filled. There’s a beautiful creek, awesome pathways, rolling hills, and some of the leaves are starting to change a little bit there. Really beautiful scenery.

Sessions will be held around the Chattanooga Choo Choo/Main Street area. Cool mural-covered walls, fences, buildings with great texture, brick walls, sidewalks and street scenes.

Please email me with the date & time you’d like to book and I will send you to the online booking software so you can book your spot. Remember that all of the sessions come with a package of 25 gorgeous fine art press printed cards. Sessions also come with an online gallery where you can order prints for your home or for gifts for friends and family. You’ll also have the option to purchase the digital files from your session if you prefer to do your own printing.

If you’ve never had a session with me before here are a few things you’ll need to know…

I love capturing who you are, how you interact, how much fun you have together, and how much you love each other. While we’ll do a few posed/formal photographs, and I’ll often lightly pose you interacting - my goal is to show who you are, not just how you look. I want you to see how you look at each other, how you smile, how your 3 year old pouts, how they giggle when you tickle them, how you have a big, squishy, group hug. I want you to have FUN at your session and walk away with images that people will say are “so you” (and of course tell you how incredibly gorgeous you are!).

If you all show up in blue jeans and white shirts - I’ll cry a little. Probably not on the outside - but on the inside I’ll secretly be crying. Because people don’t walk around in matching clothes in real life - especially not boring matching clothes. All white family photos are gorgeous, in the studio for a formal family portrait or if you’re on the beach - they suit the beach, they work there - we have a beach - at Chester Frost Park - with ugly muddy brown water behind it, I don’t want to take photos there any more than I want you to show up wearing white shirts and jeans. For these sessions - just be who you are.

So, what SHOULD you wear? I’ll make a completely separate post about that in the next few days - but, basically - colors that coordinate while still showing personality are best. Earth tones, colors that are found in nature, work best for the park sessions (cream, tans, browns, chocolates, greens, sky blues, oranges, reds, yellows (think maple leaves, sunflowers, and pumpkins), etc…). Denim is always good - but steer clear of the trendy-type designer jeans - while we all look super-hot in them they just don’t fit the whole park-setting. Brighter colors and blacks work well for the downtown sessions, you can get a little more trendy with those. Oh, and if you have girls - ask me about my Pettiskirts - they’re SO much fun.

Regarding the card options - I have SO many card options! I have some that are modern, traditional, vintage, fun, and some that are just flat beautiful. I’ll be choosing the best type of fine art paper for the card you choose - some look best in linen, pearl, watercolor, or in a standard UV finish. I’ll certainly let you choose if there’s a specific type you’d like!

In case of rain or unexpected illness sessions will be rescheduled ASAP so you’ll get your order in time for Christmas.
